About Gallery Muaf.
Gallery Muaf is a contemporary art gallery founded in 2018 by art historians Ogulcan Yildirim and Deniz Dalkilic in Istanbul. One of the main differences that distinguishes the gallery from other galleries is that it does not have a fixed location. In this way, they have a concept that allows them to carry their galleries to all over the world. their exhibitions; Curating the undiscovered, forgotten or idle cultural heritages, the gallery reveals the forgotten structures in the history of architecture and brings together the contemporary art experience with the history of architecture. This independent gallery, which has curated many exhibitions to date, also participates in contemporary art fairs, representing its artists and providing art consultancy services for its collectors. One of the most important venues where it holds its exhibitions is the Beyoğlu Central Greek Girls' High School, which hosts the Istanbul Biennial this year. The school building, which was used as a minority school in the early 90s, was later abandoned and closed its doors completely. This building, which was added to the cultural heritage of Istanbul with Gallery Muaf in 2018, also hosted the 17th Istanbul Biennial this year. This decentralized gallery, which draws attention with its exhibitions, also has an independently curated NFT project. The NFT project in the Avalanche network hosts the contemporary art works of the artists represented by the gallery. The collection includes artists from world-famous museums and collections, as well as young artists seeking space. Mr Cas, now known as the "Tailor's Apartment" in Istanbul, is presenting a fashion-oriented NFT project at the hotel, and this exhibition is the first contemporary art exhibition to have a physical event on the Avalanche network.
